Music
Hailing from the dark forests of New England, Alec has honed his craft of illuminated musical storytelling. Whether his hands are on an acoustic guitar or piano, his unique voice dances atop the melody, producing a comfortable blend of rock, folk, and metal. From the light-hearted, apologetic stylings of "Sorry" to the hauntingly thought-provoking musings of "Fields of Barley", Alec has an ability to inject impassioned emotions into each song and performance. Often compared to Chris Cornell, with influences ranging from Elton John and CCR to Judas Priest and Pantera, he emits a voice that shatters glass to splinters while softly petting newborn kittens. The only thing as extensive as Alec's vocal range is his versatility, showing itself in a plethora of juxtaposing sounds and feelings brought forth from the young man's mind. Alec's fragmented, sometimes sporadic brain brings a fresh, unnervingly melodic twist on songwriting.
Bio
Alec kicked off his music career circa 1998 (at just 7 years old) with his first solo album, "This Next Song." During high school he formed The Crypt Keepers, a comedy-death-metal trio who became popular in the surrounding area for the title track off their debut album, "Lollipop Graveyard." Alec attended college at Temple University in Philadelphia where he co-founded thrash metal band Cemetentiary. The five-piece group produced only one album, playing numerous shows around the city before disbanding in 2013. After graduating, Alec moved to Los Angeles to pursue a solo career in music. Four years he spent in the city, performing shows at iconic venues and self-producing an album before returning home to Boston in 2017. Now he spends the majority of his time writing, recording, and performing all around the Northeast. Alec's first album, "Popular to Contrary Belief", is available on all major digital platforms.
